Imserso’s trip to “hell” for some retirees: cockroaches, dirt and “inedible” food

There is nothing like a good vacation. All year long working and dreaming of the day to pack a suitcase and disconnect from the routine on a dream trip. Well, this is precisely what has not happened to a group of retirees, who have gone on trips with the Imserso But what they found when they reached their destination was far from what they had in their thoughts. Cockroaches, food in poor condition and dirt in every corner were some of the shocking circumstances that were found and that they have decided to report to the cameras of ‘Mornings‘ (La 1), a program in which they have recounted the “torture” they have experienced.

‘Mornings‘ was echoed practically as soon as the program began of the situation that a group of 40 retirees from Madrid were experiencing on their trip from Imserso. Thus, the morning news contextualized the information and contacted those affected who appeared at the doors of the Cambrils hotel where they were staying.

“They came to enjoy the sun… They found a dirty hotel, they found cockroaches everywhere, insects and they complained, above all, about the food,” noted the reporter from ‘Mornings‘which collected the testimonies of the retired.

“Apart from being scarce, poorly cooked, dirty cutlery, impossible to eat,” said one of those affected, while another defined the hotel as “hell.” «Super poor cleaning. Flies, long dead bees, with spider webs. “It impacted us all,” said a woman about the hotel to which they had arrived hired through the Imserso.

Complaints that began from the same day they arrived for their vacation, as one of the retirees told ‘Mornings‘. «Three trays of food for the entire group. I put on the green beans and they were fresh from the refrigerator, the potatoes were inedible… The burger looked like a shoe sole. Horrible, like this every day,” the woman narrated in the TVE space, while making public the response that the workers gave them. «We say it and the problems start, they tell us: ‘they pay us very little, the Imserso “You pay what you pay, we haven’t been paid for two months…”, the affected person recalled to Adela González, the morning’s presenter, with whom she was emphatic: “To come and spend a vacation under these conditions, I’m staying at home. “It’s torture.”

Finally, the reporter of ‘Mornings‘ gave the good news that the group of retired. “Thanks to the pressure of these people they have managed to be moved from this hotel today,” commented the journalist, who emphasized that those affected had not wanted to “leave” from there “until they did the live broadcast with TVE.”
