The Heart of Racing Team has confirmed that it will split its IMSA SportsCar Championship effort between the GTP and GTD classes for the 2025 season.
The team directed by Ian James, as we know, will debut the brand new Aston Martin Valkyrie in the Queen category of the North American series, but the presence of a Vantage AMR among the GT3s with Pro-Am crews has also been confirmed.
While #23 was chosen for the Hypercar prototype, #27 will be kept as the reference number for its little sister; this announcement also puts an end to the commitment in the GTD PRO Class with the official drivers of the English company, who will therefore be divided between the two cars lined up.
Obviously we will have to wait a few more weeks for the lineups, especially since the 2024 season needs to be completed in IMSA where the Vantages are in action in both GT3 divisions.

“We’re excited to see what the 2025 season has in store for us and it’s a little crazy to look back and see where we started from compared to where we currently are,” admits Team Principal and driver James.
“In the end we decided to sign up for the GTD Class because it is complementary to our GTP program made up of PRO drivers and represents a useful step up the ladder of values.”
“This week, however, we are determined to chase the GTD PRO championship with the #23 Vantage team. Once the season is finished, we will give attention to our GTP and GTD programs, focusing fully on 2025.”
