Imperia – The commissioner of Imperia Giuseppe Felice Peritore has issued a prescription of prohibition according to article 18 of the Tupls with which he has the performance of the Sicilian trapper Vincenzo Pandetta, aka Niko, is prohibited, for reasons of public order and safety. The case was triggered by the Libera association, which pointed the finger at the artist for having dedicated to his uncle, the Catania boss Salvatore Cappello, at 41bis since 1993a song.
The trapper was supposed to perform at the Moo-Kuna Festivalscheduled at the sports field of Cipressa (Imperia) on 2-3 September.
“The measure – said Peritore – was issued on the basis of similar decisions adopted by the Committee for public order and safety chaired by the prefect Nanei”.

In this regard, the text of a song is quoted that reads: ‘Uncle Turi, I thank you again for everything you do for me, you have been a school of life that has taught me to live with honor. Because of these repentants you are locked in there at 41 bis’ “.
The lyrics of the songs, the document concludes, “are evocative of criminal deeds and that the nature of the artist’s performance, with lyrics clearly praising criminal circles and instigators of delinquency and disobedience of the laws as well as the commission of various kinds of crimes, could have serious repercussions for public order and security “.
