Dubai witnessed the launch of an exclusive photo show by Ramesh Shukla, the award-winning international photographer, highlighting the maritime heritage of the United Arab Emirates and transporting visitors on a journey that meanders through the most prominent historical turning points of the UAE.
And through a collection of exceptional, rare photographs that have not been previously shown and dated back to December 2, 1971, the day that witnessed the official establishment of the United Arab Emirates, Shukla is looking forward to highlighting warm aspects of life throughout the United Arab Emirates, during his exhibition in the halls Jumeirah Mina A’Salam Hotel, Dubai.
The UAE government has praised Shukla’s immortal works, especially his iconic image of the late founder of the country, God willing, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “may God rest his soul”, which was used in the Expo 2020 Dubai passport and in the 50 dirham banknote issued last year. Celebrating the fiftieth anniversary of the founding of the state.
