Sandra is afraid of catching covid. If it happens, he is afraid of infecting his daughter and mother. If he gets sick, his family will fall apart: she is the mainstay of his home.
That is the reason why this 26-year-old accountant was vaccinated against the virus at General Secondary School Number 38 in Pachuca. He did it for her and for her family. Minutes before nine in the morning on Tuesday, he received the first dose of the Sinovac biologist in his left arm.
However, she does not feel 100 percent safe after receiving the vaccine. You know that the virus has mutated and now there are more variants that people can get sick with.
“So it is like a first shield or one more shield than those that we have already implemented as a society but then to continue taking care of ourselves,” says the young woman while she waits for him to have no reaction from the vaccine for 30 minutes.
Sandra does not know if one day the pandemic will end, she believes that some years will still pass in which they continue to try to control, she thinks that later there will be other pandemics.
Luis, 20 years old and a Civil Engineering student at Tecnológico de Pachuca, is not afraid of catching COVID. What he fears is that if he gets sick he could infect one of his loved ones,
-If you get infected, what do you think would happen?
-Well, I think I would lock myself in my room so as not to infect someone else.
Luis was vaccinated in Technique 38. He did it because he believes it necessary, due to the pandemic that is being experienced and he believes that it is better to increase the defenses against the virus.
After receiving the first dose of Sinovac she says that she felt normal as if she had received any vaccine. In a year and four months of health contingency in the state, Luis has not fallen ill with covid.
The one who did get sick at home was his stepfather, they were in isolation at home for two months but the symptoms of the virus were not serious and he did not require hospitalization.
-How did you spend it in the pandemic?
-Well, I usually spend it at home.
-Do you think this will ever end?
-Yes, the question is that people take care of themselves.
Leticia, 21, misses college. He is a Biotechnology Engineering student at the Polytechnic University of Pachuca and since the beginning of the pandemic he has taken virtual classes.
“Honestly, I do miss her, too much, the company of my classmates is very important, and in order to learn, face-to-face classes are much better than online,” the young woman is sincere.
He says that taking classes online is a bit more complicated because the internet signal can go out, the electricity can also go out, or the cell phone data can simply run out. For these reasons, he misses the face-to-face classes.
Leticia was vaccinated against covid on the second day of inoculation against the virus in Technique 38. Like Sandra and Luis, she received the first dose of Sinovac’s biological.
After being inoculated, it feels good. You know that it is part of a historic moment because this pandemic has marked the world.
Mario is 20 years old and is employed at pastes Kikos. She was vaccinated against covid to protect herself from the virus and protect her family. He also did it as a requirement of the place where he works.
At the time of the vaccine in Technique 38, Mario was invaded by two feelings: nerves and happiness. After being vaccinated with the first dose of Sinovac, only his left arm felt numb but nothing else.
During the pandemic, he has gone through good and bad times, with very little work, little fun, worried for his loved ones to know if he is going to get sick tomorrow and if he can infect them and if he does not even get rid of the virus.
-What have been the bad times?
-Know that my aunt, my uncle are sick with covid, not being able to go to help them, give them a hug and tell them that everything will be fine, feeling powerless in the face of the situation, not knowing how to react.
-Which have been the good ones?
-Know that despite the distance we are united.
-If you were infected, what do you think would happen?
-I would fall seriously ill since my defenses are not strong enough to withstand the virus, but I feel that it would succeed, that it would save me.
