The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship held the first Board of Directors meeting for the year 2021 under the chairmanship of His Excellency Ali Muhammad Al Shamsi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Authority.
His Excellency Al Shamsi said that the meeting comes within the framework of the authority completing its process by evaluating the previous stage, and discussing aspirations and future directions to achieve its vision and strategic goals.
The agenda of the meeting included reviewing the recommendations of the previous session, in addition to discussing development proposals, and the Council reviewed the Authority’s achievements in the field of quality and excellence during the year 2020, in addition to presenting a guide on governing boards of directors in the federal government.
The Board also discussed the internal audit plan to ensure the effectiveness of the internal control systems, risk management and business continuity for organizational units, and opportunities for their development.
The council concluded its meeting with the necessary recommendations to achieve further improvement and develop capabilities and capabilities at the institutional and individual levels to keep pace with the requirements of the current and future stage of the authority.
His Excellency Ali Muhammad Al Shamsi praised the efforts and support of the members of the Board of Directors in achieving the authority’s objectives and anticipating its future efficiently and competently, continuing to work in a team spirit, and continuous development in providing services to citizens and residents in accordance with best practices that advance the aspirations of the wise leadership, and contribute to enhancing the competitiveness of the authority globally.
