He tackled Kärppien against the rules Marko Anttilaa in the third period of the Kärpät–HPK match played on Saturday. Kärpät won 4–1.
The jury sentenced Trettenes to a 5+20 minute penalty for an illegal tackle on the head or neck. The case proceeded to disciplinary proceedings.
The league said on their websitethat the decision text of the disciplinary delegation will be published in its entirety on Monday.
Anttila is the long-term captain of the Finnish national team, Olympic champion and two-time world champion. Trettenes is also a national team player and represented Norway in the World Cup competitions played in Finland in May. He is playing in the League in his first season.
