Tappara from Tampere lost to Rögle from Sweden 2–3. Tappara was full of steel in the third set, but Niko Ojamäki and Valtteri Kemilainen with hits, the away team could not get closer to the goal.

Mikkeli’s Jukurit lost to Swedish Lulaja 1–5. Jukurie scored the only goal in the final set Joni Jurmo. Canadian striker By Brendan Shinnim scored two goals for Lulaja.

The CHL’s second quarterfinal games will be played in Tampere and Mikkeli on Monday next week.
