Helsinki IFK new unpleasant information has been revealed about the supporters’ visit to Espoo, reports MTV. Kiekko-Espoo and HIFK met in Metro-arena last Friday.
Kiekko-Espoo’s marketing and communications manager Oscar Visa previously told MTV that about 20 seats in the away supporters’ stand had been scratched with a marker and the floor of the hall was messed up. In addition, the bench covers were damaged.
Now, in a closer examination of the destruction works, more things to be repaired have been found. New destruction was revealed in the men’s restroom near the upper stands.
“Three faucets and a toilet bowl have been broken in one toilet. In addition, the walls of the toilet have been ‘stickered’ a lot”, the hall company’s CEO Katariina Järveläinen told MTV.
In the Espoo Areena, the away fans’ stand section is located in the upper stand. According to Järveläinen, the overall size of the compensation costs can rise close to 10,000 euros.
According to MTV, it is not yet clear whether the hall company will file a criminal complaint about the case.
Kiekko-Espoo and HIFK met twice last week. HIFK won the matches 5–2 and 3–2. Yesterday, Wednesday, HIFK continued their undefeated season by defeating HPK 6–2. Kiekko-Espoo, on the other hand, sought their first three-point win from Mikkeli.
Kiekko-Espoo will play their next home match on Saturday, even then against Mikkeli Jukurei.
