Ice hockey | Aatu Räty was invited back to the NHL team and shone as the star of the field

Aatu Räty performed well for the New York Islanders.

Räty, 19, is one of the biggest young promises of Finnish hockey. He scored 40 (13+27) points in 41 games in the SM League last season after moving to Jukurei from Kärpi (6, 0+1). In the spring, Räty performed well in the AHL playoffs (6, 1+3).

“He played well. We’ll see how things develop. He came in and did what he had to do on short notice,” Islanders head coach Lane Lambert said.

Thursday of the training matches, the most clearly numbered ones were played in Columbus. The home team Blue Jackets beat the St. Louis Blues no less than 7–0.
