Shannen Doherty’s cancer is in the fourth stage, but the actress does not stop smiling and working, and also manages to set a good example
The story of Shannen Doherty, the American actress famous for playing Brenda Walsh in the TV series in the 90s Beverly Hills 90210, moved the whole world. She found out you have cancer in 2015 and has been fighting this never-ending battle ever since. Now the cancer is in the fourth stage, it can only be treated, not cured, but she continues to work and not lose heart.
There are several stars of television, cinema and music who have recently been fighting their battles against a tumor. From Carolina Marconi, to Blink 182 bassist Mark Hoppus, to Doherty herself.
They all have in common that they fight their war with your head held high, with enormous courage and without ever losing the desire to smile and live.
Shannen’s situation is more serious than the other two. Her cancer, which we remember afflicts her since 2015, arrived at the fourth stage. Doctors explained that it can only be treated, not cured. so this is a situation that Shannen Doherty just has to get used to.
Long ago, the actress had explained:
I am so thankful for every single day. I wake up and feel blessed to be here. I am surrounded by loved ones who continue to enrich my life and I am grateful to all of you who share your love and stories with me.
Or again:
Why not me? Who else would deserve it? None of us deserve cancer. Someone with stage four cancer is not a person waiting to die with a gray coat on. I want to live.
Shannen Doherty hasn’t stopped working
In a recent interview issued to the magazine Variety, the star said she keep working. He does this in order not to lose heart and also to set a good example to all those who fight his own battle.
I’m taking all the energy I can to give it to myself. The best example I can give to other people struggling with cancer, but also to the outside world in general, is to show them that a patient being treated for cancer can also work. As far as I’m concerned, I’m trying to live the best life possible and be the best possible example right now.
