Candidate for the Senate for the PTB has been contested by the TRE-RJ since September 6
The president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) told the federal deputy Daniel Silveira (PTB-RJ) this Sunday (2.Oct.2022) who voted for him for the Senate. The video in which Bolsonaro makes this statement was released by the congressman’s office.
Silveira had his candidacy barred by the TRE-RJ (Regional Electoral Court of Rio de Janeiro) on September 6. He appeals the decision. The request was made by the Psol-Rede federation. In April, the deputy was convicted by the Federal Supreme Court (STF) for attacks on democratic institutions. In addition to the sentence of 8 years and 9 months in prison, the politician became ineligible for 8 years.
