El Salto, Jalisco.- On the night of Wednesday, June 22, residents of the San Lorenzo neighborhood in the municipality of El Salto, lived hours of terror when witnessing a confrontation between municipal police and armed civiliansThe shooting is estimated to have lasted two hours.
Some of the witnesses witnessed how the uniformed men besieged a home located on Medellín street, as was recorded on videos by some young people.

Gunshots can be heard in the videos, shocking the teenagers who witnessed the confrontation.
“They are pulling from the inside out,” says one of the young people while another responds “I thought this was just in Sinaloa”.

The state governor, Enrique Alfaro, reported that at least 8 suspected criminals and four municipal police officers died, three more civilians were seriously injured. He added that 7 suspected criminals were arrested.
It is worth mentioning that as of mid-Thursday, June 23, the bodies of the police officers had not yet been delivered to their families.
