Hyundai itself also makes it known that, in conjunction with “e_mob” 2021, on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 October it will be possible to appreciate the brand new Ioniq 5 at the showrooms of the Korean car manufacturer throughout Italy. on the occasion of the Open Weekend, also scheduled on 23 and 24 October. “With its thirty years of know-how on the electrification front and the widest range of electrified engines on the market (full electric, mild-hybrid, full-hybrid, plug-in hybrid and fuel cell), Hyundai reiterates once again his commitment to one universal zero-emission mobility – writes the Korean company in an official note – From the commitment to electrify the entire range, to the launch of the 100% electric Ioniq family, up to over 20 years of hydrogen research, Hyundai has in fact constantly worked to pave the way for change for a zero-emission society ”.
Hyundai’s announced goal is to become a brand 100% carbon neutral by 2045. In terms of range, the Korean company plans to offer exclusively zero-emission vehicles starting from 2035, phasing out all vehicles that use fossil fuels by 2040 in the main markets. In addition to the electric, Hyundai also wants to aim on hydrogen: by 2023, the Korean company will introduce a next-generation fuel cell system with costs reduced by more than 50%, a total volume of the package reduced by 30% and a doubled power. Within the next five years, Hyundai will become the first automaker to apply its fuel cell system to all commercial vehicle models.
