Within the Summer Game Fest announcements, a new trailer has been released for Hyper Light Breaker, in which they are betting on a cooperative experience that will appeal to those who like shooter titles of this type. Added to that is that there is early access on the way in summer for those who want to try it.

From Heart Machine, the award-winning team behind the critically acclaimed titles Hyper Light Drifter and Solar Ash, comes Hyper Light Breaker, a new co-op rogue-lite adventure set in the beloved Hyper Light Drifter universe. Hyper Light Breaker is a new installment in the Hyper Light franchise, with a unique story realized entirely in 3D for the first time. Set decades before Drifter, Hyper Light Breaker has you take on the role of a Breaker, a mercenary tasked with entering Overgrowth. Using a combination of fast-paced hack-and-slash combat, ranged weaponry and gadgets, players can expect to fight and explore a wide range of procedurally generated open worlds. Although you will begin your journey attempting to help the settlement, it is clear that there is something sinister in this long-forgotten land. Only through tenacity and rigorous exploration will you uncover the dark truths of the Crowns, The Abyss King, and this brutal and horrifying new landscape. Players can choose to play alone or with friends to explore open worlds, create new buildings, traverse hordes, and defeat the Crowns and the Abyss King.
