In exclusive statements to “Sky News Arabia”, Fahmy said that the role he plays in “The Priest” is new and different and he has not presented it before during his artistic career, and “this is what prompted me to go through this experience.”
The veteran artist, Mahmoud Hamida, Dora, Iyad Nassar, Fathi Abdel Wahab, Jamal Suleiman and Hanan Suleiman, co-starring in the film, directed by Othman Abu Laban and written by Muhammad Nair, and its events revolve around a mysterious murder.
Fahmy continued, “There are many things that attracted me to this experience, which is the presence of the great director Othman Abu Laban, as well as the very beautifully written script, and the same topic that discusses an important issue for the whole world.”
And about the “representative match” in the movie “The Priest,” where Fahmy participates in the work, a constellation of distinguished stars, he indicated that he sees it as “a strong and honorable competition, as each of them does their best to appear better.”
The artist explained that he did not face any difficulties at work, explaining that “the work team was very cooperative and understanding, and therefore the work came out simply and without any difficulties or complications.”
Fahmy expressed his warm welcome for cinemas to open their doors again after they were closed due to the Corona epidemic, which has spread throughout the world, noting that he is “happy with the competition between Egyptian films currently, which vary between comedy, movement and tragic death.”
On the other hand, Fahmy said that he is preparing for the drama race next Ramadan, and is also preparing for a new movie, and he will experience the theater after a long absence through a work of his own production.
