For a period of 15 days, in order to establish mechanisms for coordination and use of State resources to solve this climate crisis, the Legislative Assembly has approved that the National Directorate of Civil Protection be empowered to evacuate the population that is in risk areas.

The population classified as “at risk” by Civil Protection must compulsorily attend the indications of the institution immediately.
What other indications does the decree contain?
Said decree empowers Civil Protection to “use the necessary coercive mechanisms, in order to preserve human life” andn the case of mandatory evictions.
In addition to the mandatory evacuation, the approved articles empower the Ministry of Public Works and Transportation of that country to manage tasks of debris removal and rehabilitation of infrastructure damaged as a result of the climatic disaster. So private companies must compulsorily attend to these procedures.

The decree will enter into force from its publication in the Official Gazette and the entire population must abide by the indications of the authorities in question.
