His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, was briefed on the most important results of the Ajman Attractiveness Index study, which is the first of its kind at the state level, and the Marriage and Divorce Report, which were prepared by Ajman Statistics Center and competitiveness.
His Highness, the ruler of Ajman, expressed his pride in the continuous successes and the high level of community care achieved by the emirate.
The Ajman Attractiveness Index study, which is conducted annually, is a composite indicator that measures the emirate’s attractiveness by measuring six main indicators in the following vital sectors: education, health care, public services, communications, infrastructure and transportation. The indicator will be one of the tools supporting the planning process, resource allocation, performance measurement, and evaluation of policies and programs in a way that contributes to improving the quality of life. The study aims to provide a clear and accurate vision that supports the concerned decision makers in identifying priority areas for improvement from the perspective of society and focusing all efforts towards upgrading services in the emirate.
Dr. Saeed Saif Al Matroushi, Secretary-General of the Executive Council, and Dr. Hajar Al Hubaishi, Executive Director of the Ajman Statistics and Competitiveness Center, reviewed the details of the study, which was prepared and formulated according to a scientific method to measure the attractiveness of Ajman by measuring the public’s satisfaction with the main vital sectors that directly affect their daily lives. The study showed an increase in the attractiveness index for the year 2020, as it achieved a rate of 91.9% compared to 83.8% in 2018, and achieved a rate of 5.83 percent in 2018 in all life sectors that concern the happiness of the people of the emirate and its residents and meet their needs.
In the education sector, the satisfaction index rose in 2020 to 93% compared to 2019, when the ratio was 4. 87%, and in the health sector, the percentage rose to 94.3% in 2020 compared to 2019 and was 8.88%. In the public services sector, the index rose to 2.92% in 2020 compared to 85.2% in 2019.
In the telecommunications sector, the percentage increased in 2020 to 86.6% compared to 2019, which was 75.2%.. As for the infrastructure sector, the customer satisfaction index rose to 3.90 in 2020 compared to 2019, which was 76.1%.
In the transportation sector, the index rose to 8.94% in 2020 compared to 90.9% in 2019. The study showed that the average sense of safety in the Emirate of Ajman was 4.98 percent. His Highness the Ruler of Ajman and His Highness the Crown Prince, in addition to the study of the attractiveness of the Emirate of Ajman, reviewed the marriage and divorce report for the first half of 2021, where the report indicated an increase in the number of marriage contracts.
His Highness the Ruler of Ajman said: The index constitutes the baseline of reference for identifying the needs of society. His Highness stressed the need to enhance the awareness of government agencies in designing studies and opinion polls, and to increase the number of publications designed according to international scientific standards.
