The monitor Huawei MateView was awarded the much coveted Red Dot Award for 2021 in the Product Design category, a milestone that goes to reward the work done by the company in the last year.
The 50 experts who are part of the jury declared, regarding the Huawei MateView: “MateView combines striking aesthetics with a comprehensive set of features. This is evident in the stand, which harmoniously integrates the loudspeaker and interfaces“. This is precisely the main reason that prompted product design experts to award the prize to the Chinese giant for its first standalone monitor.
For the complete features of the Huawei MateView, I refer you to our article published on the occasion of the presentation, while I remind you of some of the main specifications, let’s talk about a 3: 2 panel from 28.2 inches with a resolution of 3840 x 2560 pixels, with support for 98% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and 100% of the sRGB gamut.
What then struck the jury was the stand, which integrates the speaker and allows you to interact with the OSD menu, so you can adjust all the various configurations of the panel to your liking, but also the audio volume.
We can therefore say that as the first standalone monitor Huawei has done quite well, and we can maybe expect new models in the future.
