HTLS 2020: World Cup winning captain Kapil Dev told, what was the benefit of IPL 2020 in Corona era
Kapil Dev, while talking to Ayaz Menon, said that while the Hyderabad team could not make it to the finals by a small margin, T Natarajan impressed everyone with his game. In this conversation, Kapil Dev called Natarajan as his ‘hero’ of IPL 2020. Natarajan, who hunted many ardent batsmen with his accurate yorker ball, caught everyone’s attention by bowling economically in the death overs. In IPL 2020, Natarajan took 16 wickets in 16 matches at an average of 31.50 and during this time his economy rate was 8.02, while the strike rate was 23.56.
T Natarajan was also rewarded for his superb bowling in the IPL and was also selected in the Australia-bound squad after the end of the IPL. He has been included in the T20 squad in place of mystery spinner Varun Chakraborty. It will be quite interesting to see whether Natarajan, who got rid of sixes of star batsmen from all over the world with his brilliant yorker in the IPL, will be able to get a place in the national team.

Kapil Dev enumerated the benefits of IPL 2020
Praising the IPL tournament, the former Indian captain said that because of this league, our young players are benefitting immensely. Along with this, he also said that one should not always focus on T20 cricket. Of course it is looking for money and young players for our cricket board but we should not play the traditional format. He said that tempo should be maintained on Test cricket as Test cricket is an art.
