HS Tuusula “It feels pointless to take a risk” – Due to the coronary situation, some of Tuusula’s decision-makers would like to attend a meeting remotely lasting up to six hours, but they were told not to

The next Tuusula council will meet on Monday, December 13th. Some of Tuusula’s delegates would like to meet remotely, but the chairman of the council will not bow to the request.

Tuusulan the council is debating how the next council meeting on monday 13 december should be organized.

The council meeting is scheduled to be held in attendance, although many delegates would like it to be held as a hybrid due to the deteriorating corona situation. Chairman of the Board Arto Lindberg (sd) sees no need for a hybrid meeting.

The council will discuss next year’s budget at next Monday’s meeting, and the meeting is likely to last a long time.

Downtown accredited Ari Nyman is one of the delegates who would like the meeting next Monday to be held as a hybrid.

“There are a total of more than 70 people at the meeting place, and maintaining safety distances can be tricky. The meeting is going to be long, up to five to six hours. It feels pointless to take a health safety risk with an attendance meeting, ”says Nyman.

According to Nyman, several commissioners agree.

“Delegates who want a hybrid meeting do not have a majority of delegates. However, there are a significant number of them, it is not a matter of individual delegates. Arto Lindberg, Chairman of the Board, did not respond in any way to the delegates’ requests to hold the meeting as a hybrid. ”

Nyman recalls that the Tuusula council held hybrid meetings during the corona pandemic when the previous council met. The new council, which started in the summer, has only held attendance meetings. Attendance meetings were concluded when the corona situation looked better at the beginning of the term.

Council Arto Lindberg, chairman, confirmed that the meeting next Monday would be an attendance meeting. He sees no need to hold the meeting as a hybrid.

“The premises of the council are quite spacious and distances can be kept there. Health security is maintained at the meeting, ”says Lindberg.

Lindberg recalled that the budget would be discussed at next Monday’s meeting.

“The budget council is expected to vote a lot. It is essential that the connections work. In a hybrid meeting, the connections may not work. If someone is unable to vote, the meeting is illegal. “

Lindberg estimates that all delegates should have vaccination issues in order.

“Every delegate has two or three vaccinations. If the authorized person has a bad health situation, a deputy system is in place. ”

The topic has been covered in the past as well Central Uusimaa.
