Drinking water is made in Parainen Korppoo in perhaps the most expensive way there is. The more expensive electricity becomes, the more expensive is drinking water made from seawater using reverse osmosis devices. So far, the municipality still has a good contract considering the circumstances.

Working as a leading maintenance man in Korppoo Magnus Lundström had just that morning returned to work from his summer vacation. The first thing in the morning after the holiday, he routinely went to Rosklax’s water plant in Korppo to check the situation. The plant produced drinking water from groundwater for the entire central area of Korppoo, for a few hundred people.
