Malalai is a 21-year-old woman from Kabul and one of hundreds of Afghans waiting to enter Finland on the basis of family ties. The Foreign Ministry has been looking for a solution to the situation, but it is not promised until the spring.

Malalai has been waiting to access his fiancé for more than two years.
They got engaged in the fall of 2019. The engagement ring was brought to Malalai’s home in Afghanistan by the man’s mother, as the groom lives far away in Finland.
Malalai, 21, lives in Kabul. Her fiancé was born in Afghanistan but moved to Finland as a child.
