District gardener Samuli Lehti says that the season in The Hague Alpine Rose Park is reflected in the number of visitors. This summer, new signposts await visitors with voice guidance via the phone
The Hague Thousands of alpine roses and azaleas in the Alpine Rose Park will delight visitors once again. District gardener of the city of Helsinki Samuli Lehden according to the park at its best probably right now.
“Last week, the azaleas were in full bloom, but the alpine roses aren’t quite there yet. Now they are probably pretty great, ”says Lehti.
In general, the flowering season in an alpine rose park lasts for about the whole of June. The late spring of this year could, in common sense, mean that the blooms could be enjoyed for longer than usual. However, this may not be the case.
“It doesn’t necessarily work that way with plants. A prolonged spring can weaken flowering if the development of the buds does not start normally, ”Lehti estimates.
If flowering alpine roses so you want to see, it is worth stopping on the spot soon. According to the city’s observations, the public has already found the place. According to the magazine, the street parks are constantly full.
“Last week, we had to empty the park’s bajamas a day earlier than usual because someone had decided to demolish them. The disruption of the emptying rhythm during the day caused the toilets to fill up prematurely. This load indicates that there is quite a lot of crew there. ”
The perpetrators were not caught, although the magazine tried to “recruit them to work” using Facebook.
Otherwise there has been no disruptive behavior.
“People have been neat. The keepers of pop-up ice cream kiosks and cafés also clean their tracks well and bring their own rubbish, ”says Lehti.
According to the magazine, the kiosks operating in the car parks are welcome and encourage living urban space in the vicinity of Alppiruusupuisto.
Today in, visitors will be guided by new information boards, which will open a voice guide about the park using the qr code. The installation contract is still partially in progress.
“To that extent, the contract was delayed from this flowering. The paintings tell the story of the park as an alpine rose area of the University of Helsinki and its plant varieties, ”says Lehti.
District gardener Samuli Lehti recommends that visitors to the park set aside time and patience during the peak year. He also hopes that visitors will stay on guided routes so that the sensitive whole is not damaged.
“Above all, it is worth enjoying that atmosphere, because everyone who visits there is amazed that there may be something like this in Finland. The meter-high alpine park is a stunning experience, and not just on your first visit. It is amazing to be seen again and again when you go there, ”the magazine glows.
