How to register in the RZD Passengers app?
The Russian Railways For Passengers application is free of charge and is available for download in the App Store and Google Play. If you have an account on the site Russian Railways, you can use his login information. Otherwise, you will need to register: come up with a login and password, indicate your full name, email, mobile phone number, date of birth and gender, and confirm your email address. How to buy an electric train ticket through the app?
To buy a ticket, you must specify the points of departure and arrival, as well as the date of travel (you can choose any within the next 10 days). If the selected railway direction is served, then the program will offer to select a suitable train from the list. All the necessary information is given about each train: departure and arrival times, travel time, fare, train number, direction, service company. Next, you will need to select a tariff (one way or there and back).
Next, the user will be redirected to the “My passengers” page, where he will need to add a new passenger. You can use the Fill With My Data function to transfer information from a profile, to recognize data from another source using the camera, or you can fill in all the data manually. After that, you must specify the type of identity document and enter its series and number. Passenger data can be saved and used for subsequent ticket purchases.
Before paying, you will need to confirm your consent to the processing of personal data and agree to the rules of carriage and the terms of the offer. Payment can be made either by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, MIR), or using Apple Pay, Google Pay or Samsung Pay systems.
How to activate the ticket and go through the turnstile?
After payment, a ticket with a barcode will be available in the application itself (in “My Orders”), and will also be sent to the specified email address. At the station, in order to pass through the turnstile, you will need to bring the barcode to the scanner. To do this, you can either open the barcode in the application or come with a pre-printed ticket and scan it. It is recommended to have a passport with you, since the controller may ask you to present not only a ticket, but also a passport – to confirm that the travel document is issued specifically for you.
