The Qatar World Cup 2022 It will be the twenty-second edition of the highest international tournament for teams organized by FIFA. This edition will be held from November 21 to December 18, 2022 in Qatar.
For this edition, 32 teams will participate in the World Cup, for now, the host Qatar is the only one classified, and it is expected that for the 2026 World Cup there will be 48 teams.
The remaining 31 teams will have to qualify through the different continental tournaments, which began in June 2019 and due to the COVID-19 pandemic will end in March 2022. The reclassification matches will be played in June 2022.
FIFA determined the quotas for confession as follows:
The Asian Football Confederation (AFC): 4.5 seats.
The African Football Confederation (CAF): 5 places
The Confederation of North America, Central America and the Caribbean Soccer (Concacaf): 3.5 seats
The South American Football Confederation (Conmebol): 4.5 seats.
The Oceania Football Confederation (OFC): 0.5 seats.
The Union of European Football Federations (UEFA): 13 places.

So far, only two teams have voluntarily withdrawn from their participation in Qatar 2022.
