After the unexpected announcement, many are wondering how the Nintendo Sound Clock works: Alarmoand so IGN saw fit to publish a video to show the device in actionwith sixteen minutes of music and visual effects.
Designed specifically for the many fans of Nintendo’s intellectual properties, Alarmo is an advanced alarm clock, so to speak: after connecting to the wi-fi network, tracks our sleep and, when the time comes, try to wake us up in the best possible way.
The Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo, in fact, reproduces some of the most iconic music from Nintendo gamesas well as classic sound effects such as those of the coins from Super Mario Bros., which are played to accompany the movements we make while we are still in bed, in a sort of journey made up of rewards.
Unfortunately this aspect of the experience is not visible in the video published by IGN, which is limited to music reproduction, thus offering just a taste of the features of this bizarre device.
Is it already a success?
Already sold out in Japan, the Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo seems to have been a hit an unexpected success for manyalthough it is not clear what Nintendo’s intentions were in terms of units produced, which could be limited.
Regardless of the nature of this curious device, it is clear that many imagined it a different announcement from Nintendothe one relating to Switch 2, which at this point we imagine will not arrive before the start of the new year: perhaps in the month of January, especially if the launch of the console is really scheduled for March or April 2025.
