The man who held people hostage for hours in the Apple Store on Leidseplein in Amsterdam last night is a 27-year-old Amsterdammer. The man allegedly threatened to blow himself up. He made contact with the police during the hostage situation and demanded 200 million euros in crypto currency and safe conduct from the property. This was announced during a press conference of the triangle (police, municipality and Public Prosecution Service) in Amsterdam.
