According to an MP1ST report corroborated by VGC, Sony Interactive Entertainment is reportedly working on a remake or remaster of Horizon Zero Dawn, the first installment of Guerrilla Games’ Horizon series. The game would be slated for PS5. Also, there would be another game – multiplayer to be precise – in development.
There source of MP1ST it does not specify if Horizon Zero Dawn for PS5 will be completely recreated, or if it will be a real remake, or if it will be more of a kind of high-level remaster. However, it is specified that the game will use an improved lighting system, higher quality textures, better animations and new polygonal models that can match the quality of Horizon Forbidden West, or the sequel published on PS4 and PS5.
It is also said that there will be a great focus on introducing various accessibility options, similar to what has been done with Forbidden West. There will also be several graphics modes, as is typical for PS5 games that allow you to prioritize resolution or performance. As for the gameplay, the remake / remaster of Horizon Zero Dawn should propose the small improvements introduced with the sequel. It has not been specified whether there will be elements such as the alascudo that allows you to glide: it seems unlikely, however, since it is a narrative element introduced only in the following and above all a potential problem in terms of design.
We then speak of a multiplayer game set in the game world of Horizon. It would be expected for both PS5 and PC. The game should allow you to customize your character based on the various tribes that have appeared in the game. However, it is not known whether it will be a cooperative game or a PvP game.
Finally, remember that a PS VR2 game is in development: Horizon Call of the Mountain. Additionally, fans believe a DLC or expansion for Forbidden West is on the way as Sylas’ actor is recording new dialogue.
