The Chinese brand Honor presented this Friday in the giant of the East its new flagship phone View40 5G, the first after the brand stopped being part of Huawei, which works with the processor Dimensity 1000+ by MediaTek and integrates a 50 megapixel camera.
This new top of the range for the company presents a large OLED panel screen (6.72 inches), with Full HD + resolution (2,676 x 1,236 pixels), HDR10 and a refresh rate of 120Hz. It houses a 32 megapixel front camera and an ultrasonic fingerprint reader.
Honor mobiles, while they were part of Huawei, used to have a Kirin processor inside, of own manufacture; but in this Independence the Honor View40 changed providers.
The Honor View40 is powered by the brand new MediaTek Dimensity 1000+, one of MediaTek’s high-end 5G SoCs. It has eight cores, four at 2.6 GHz and four at 2 GHz. It is accompanied by 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256 GB of internal UFS 2.1 storage. It also has 256GB of storage.

The 4,000mAh battery is compatible with Huawei’s 66W fast charging system, 50W wireless fast charging and reverse wireless charging. According to Honor, this technology is capable of charging 60% of the battery in 15 minutes.
The main camera system stands out for its 50 megapixel lens, which is complemented by an 8 megapixel wide angle and a 2 megapixel macro lens, as stated in the company’s statement.
The Honor smartphone runs on Android 10 and the MagicUI layer, offers 5G and WiFi 6 connectivity and NFC technology for mobile purchases. At the moment its launch is focused only on the Chinese market, where its price starts at 3,599 yuan (about $ 555). There it can be purchased in two versions, both with 8 GB of RAM but with 128 or 256 GB of internal storage, respectively.
Huawei announced in November selling all your interests in Honor, the company’s mid-range mobile phone brand, to the Shenzhen Zhixin New Information Technology consortium as a result of the “tremendous pressure” that the Chinese supplier’s business was recently subjected to as a result of the impact on the US veto supply.
