Hong Kong | A statue reminiscent of the Tiananmen massacre disappeared from view in Hong Kong

The red statue features dozens of human figures whose postures and expressions reflect pain.

Shame the cladding of the pillar is yet another sign of how China has tightened its grip on Hong Kong.

According to the news agency AFP, the operation on Thursday night may anticipate moving the statue completely out of the university grounds.
