The wait for Hollow Knight: Silksong it's long and exhausting, so much so that the game is almost never mentioned again 5 years after the announcement original, but on the occasion of Valentine's Day, Team Cherry wanted to return to the topic, simply confirming that he is still at work to complete the sequel.
It wasn't even a public message, but rather a greeting posted on the game's official Discord channel: “Happy Saint Valentine's to everyone. In case you're wondering, we're still hard at work on the game,” said Matthew Griffin, head of marketing and publishing at Team Cherry.
This is nothing surprising, but every now and then it could be positive to point it out, considering that fans of the series seem to be so desperate that they threaten the immolation of various subreddits in order to get news.
5 long years of waiting
Hollow Knight: Silksong actually came announced just 5 years ago: it was February 14, 2019 when the sequel to the excellent Metroidvania was presented with trailer and images, and since then the wait began, which perhaps few would have expected to be so long.
After being delayed last spring, at this point there is no longer a scheduled release window for the game in question, which we continue to await information on. For the moment, we can only be certain that, evidently, the project it was not cancelled.
