Hockey Kaapo Kakko suffered an upper body injury, and one of the reasons may be the Russian Defender’s tough

According to the coach, the situation is monitored day by day.

New York Rangers winger Kaapo Kakko was injured in the team’s third match in the hockey league NHL.

The Rangers defeated the Montreal Canadiens 3-1 on the field, and Kakko played the end of the first set but did not come in second.

Kakko encountered a young Russian defender Alexander Romanov tackled in the attack area. The injury could come in it, even though Kakko got up quickly and continued to play.

The situation started when Kakko took the puck from the middle area over the blue line and the very skating Romanov pounded the Finn. It is not entirely certain whether the injury was due to that very situation.

Rangersin head coach Gerard Gallant told sports website The Athletic that Kako ‘s situation is being monitored day by day. The opinion would suggest that this would not be a long-term injury or a very serious one.

Kakko had time to play in the first set for more than six minutes, reflecting decent playing time if he had been able to play to the end of the match.

In the first two matches of the season, Kakko played first against Washington at 17.12 minutes and against Dallas at 18.22. He didn’t have time to score power points before he was injured.
