Hockey Jesperi Kotkaniemi signed an extension agreement with Carolina for as long as eight years

Hockey Carolina Hurricanes, one of the NHL’s top teams, has signed an eight-year contract with his young Finnish striker Jesperi Kotkaniemen with.

The agreement will keep the 21-year-old in Raleigh, Kotkaniemi, until the end of the 2029–30 season. The average salary for the contract is $ 4.82 million.

“Jesperi has shown us with his skill and work ethic that he is a great fit for the young core of the team. He is still only 21 years old and we are confident that his role will continue to grow in the years to come, ”said Hurricanes GM Don Waddell said on the club’s website.

Last year, Kotkaniemi moved from Montreal to Carolina with a one-year contract worth as much as $ 6.1 million. This season the Pori striker has scored 11 + 12 = 23 power points in 59 matches.

The strikers also play for the Finns in Carolina Sebastian Aho and Teuvo Sharp as well as a goalkeeper Antti Raanta.
