Hockey ESPN: The Ice Hockey World Championships will be canceled again this year

The girls’ World Championships were to be held in Linköping and Mjölby, Sweden, from 8 to 15 May. January 2022. The cities were supposed to hold the Games a year earlier, but even then they had to be canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

According to ESPN, national puck leagues began informing players of the cancellation of the tournament yesterday Thursday. An official announcement of the cancellation of the Games is expected to be made as early as Christmas Eve.

The Games for Girls under the age of 18 have been held a total of 13 times since 2008. Finland has reached bronze in 2011 and 2019.

For girls in addition to the races, lower series tournaments for boys under the age of 20, among others, would be canceled in january.

The World Cup, which kicks off on Midsummer’s Day, is set to play according to plan, albeit in front of limited audiences. The races in Edmonton and Red Deer in Canada will begin on Killing Day and the final will be played on January 5th.
