Good luck, 47: Steam user discontent with Hitman 3 spreads like wildfire.
Hitman 3 it only has half of the positive reviews on Steam and the reason seems to be linked to the price, in particular because after a year of exclusivity on the Epic Games Store it did not even receive a discount on the occasion of the launch on Steam when the Epic Games launcher was for a long time at half price.
Some players who prefer Steam as their launcher feel they need to be rewarded for the year of waiting, be it a discount or platform-exclusive content. In the meantime, however, the entire trilogy has arrived on Game Pass at no additional cost, and the discontent of Steam users has increased dramatically.
Complicating the matter is the fact that Hitman 3 has many editions, starting with the standard up to Trilogy Premium Add-Ons Bundlepassing through the Hitman 3: Seven Deadly Sins Collection and the Hitman 3 Access Pass: Hitman 2 Gold. Too many, various bundles offered to players who already own parts of the content landed elsewhere, or already own the two previous games, but to understand what contains what and which edition to buy would have to sweat seven shirts.
Big problems also concern the version for VR: Hitman 3 seen through a virtual reality headset is plagued by bugs and glitches which prevent you from enjoying the tutorial with dignity, let alone the rest of the game. Hitman 3 also requires an always-on connection, but the IO Interactive they are very slow, and the result is endless waiting lists.
Review bombing has also landed on the r / Hitman subreddit, which is also closed due to the brutality of posts and user comments.
