Guasave, Sinaloa.- The director of the UAS Guasave High School announced that due to pandemic issues and online classes, they had to carry out a work and rescue plan for studentssince you were having the problem of a 20 percent in school lag in the headquarters, and 40 percent in extensions, which are in rural communities, and that is where desertion is strongest.
Rafael López Acosta mentioned that they managed to rescue many young people, since right now they are 5 percent behind, which is normal, because even if they are in person, there are students who decide not to continue with their studies.

pre-registration
He reported that the rescue plan was carried out from the end of the school year, where students could request more subjects than normal in order not to fail the year, they were also given advice and exams were applied so that in that This way the student will be supported and will not drop out of school.
In the case of the extensions, he said that as an institution they are closer to the students, since the teachers know each student and their parents well, in that case the desertion was taking place, since many of them chose to work , and that was affecting their school performance and that was when it was decided to intervene with the work plan, with which, fortunately, very good results were obtained and things did not go as expected.
“They had the benefit of bringing a livelihood to their homes, but they were neglecting school,” he explained.
He indicated that the pre-registration for this new school year will start from the 22nd of the current month, they have 1,200 cards for the facilities of the municipal seat and 600 for the extensions in communities, so they expect a good response.
He expressed that they hope that at least the enrollment will be maintained, since fortunately last school year it remained at 1,150, so he considers that this enrollment can be maintained in the coming one, since that is the goal.
He assured that they have realized that there is a lot of interest on the part of the students in being part of the enrollment of the campus, since they have realized that they are returning to normality.
Return
The director of the Prepa UAS Guasave asserted that it has been a good decision on the part of the rector to rejoin and return 100 percent to classes in person.
He revealed that the return took place as of this week, and they had no problem with any teacher, parent, student or worker, regarding the return.

He stated that the rector made this decision, because when the return to classes was carried out in person with only 50 percent of the students, they realized that there were no massive infections, since there were only three cases that came out positive, one of them occurred in the UAS facilities in the city and the other two were in communities, so it is very acceptable that the decision to return to normality has been made.
