Oil prices rose on Monday, influenced by increasing fears of a possible supply disruption.
By 0043 GMT, Brent crude futures for November delivery rose 16 cents, or 0.22 percent, to $72.14 per barrel. The contract expires today, Monday, and the most widely traded contract for December delivery increased ten cents, or 0.14 percent, to $71.64 a barrel.
West Texas Intermediate crude futures increased eight cents, or 0.12 percent, to $68.26 per barrel.
Last week, Brent crude fell by about three percent, while West Texas Intermediate crude fell by about five percent as concerns about demand increased.
