The director of the hotel firm, Pere García, met this Friday with the directors Marcos Ortuño and Valle Miguélez
The Hesperia Hotels business group plans new investments in the La Manga Club complex, with the aim of promoting its facilities as a holiday and leisure resort. The director of the hotel firm, Pere García, met yesterday with the Ministers of the Presidency, Tourism, Culture and Sports, Marcos Ortuño, and of Business, Employment, Universities and Spokesperson, Valle Miguélez, to analyze the new actions that will be carried out in the coming months and “the possible synergies that can be established” in a medium period of time.
The Hesperia Murcia Centro and La Manga Club are part of Hesperia’s portfolio of assets owned and managed, which continues to grow and set new horizons. It is made up of more than 5,000 rooms owned, operated and managed, 29 hotels, six holiday resorts, distributed throughout the country, and 23 urban hotels located in the main capitals. After the meeting, the councilor Marcos Ortuño insisted on the importance of “the leading companies in the national tourism sector betting on their business plans for the Region.”
A “strong and modern” sector
In this sense, he pointed out that “after the health crisis derived from Covid, it is essential to carry out policies for renewing and adapting the offer that make it safer and more competitive and allow us to take a leap in quality.” Ortuño recalled that “economic reactivation inexorably passes through having a strong, modern tourism sector, which makes possible a differentiated offer that promotes quality tourism throughout the year, and the investments announced in the La Manga Club complex reinforce this objective”.
The head of Business and Employment stressed that “business development involves job creation and this is essential for the regional economy.”
