Hereditary, the film directed by Ari Aster, conquered audiences with its gloomy and disturbing story. Not only did it become a benchmark for modern horror cinema, but it also left several viewers nightmares.
What few fans knew is that part of the cast was also affected by the production. In conversation with Looper, the actor Alex Wolff (Peter Graham in fiction) confessed that he suffered consequences in the professional and personal sphere.
“I’ll confess that that movie did me all the damage a movie can do,” Wolff explained, mentioning the psychological effects and lack of sleep as some of the consequences of the shooting of the film.
“It’s very difficult because, as an actor, you don’t want to sound pretentious or like something was too serious, but this was one of those difficult moments in my emotional well-being,” the 23-year-old actor emphasized to the specialized medium.
