Last week, Infinity Ward shared with us the first sneak peek of the new Call of Dutywhich confirmed that this year’s installment would be a sequel to the reboot of Modern Warfare. Well, today we already have the first official details of this new game, as well as the successor of war zoneand yes, it seems that it will come out this year.
Through a new publication shared on the series’ official blog, It was officially revealed that Call of Duty 2022 will be a sequel to modwarfare, which will be enhanced with a new graphics engine by Infinity Ward. Both games are being created from scratch and together, so the new war zone could come out at the same time as the new one CoD.
Infinity Ward promises an evolved experience of the battle royale with a new playing field and a scale never seen before. Interestingly, they didn’t mention anything about these new games actually coming to the last generation of consoles.
On the other hand, they also promised to correct several errors that have been present in war zone for a few months, as well as introducing certain changes in quality of life, like removing the gas mask animation, and tweaking how plates work. Lastly, they promise to add FOV adjustments to consoles.
Publisher’s note: At least Activision is listening to the complaints of the community, although they took a long time to do so. It is understood that currently the situation within the studio is not in the best state out there, but great things are certainly coming for the battle royale.
