Porsche Motorsport brought its new LMDh to the track for the first time.
The German manufacturer took advantage of the Weissach track to carry out a private test with the prototype that from next year will field in the main Endurance, FIA WEC and IMSA championships.
Leading the tests and the first km with this newborn car built around the Multimatic chassis, still in the camouflage livery with which it was presented a few weeks ago through some images, was thought by Frédéric Makowiecki, assisted by the technicians of Porsche and Team Penske, who they deal with development.

“We are very proud of this important step in the development of our car for the 2023 FIA WEC and IMSA,” said Thomas Laudenbach, Vice President of Porsche Motorsport.
“Thanks to all the men involved in Weissach and Team Penske for the day of the roll-out”.
“My first thoughts, however, go to all the people who have been working on this project for months to put the car on track. It was truly an exciting time to have them perform,” added Makowiecki.
“It is always beautiful and exciting to drive a new car for the first time. Honestly I think it was a really positive roll-out. We were able to complete a few laps seeing that everything worked as we expected. It is a good place to start.”
