Lamborghini Squadra Corse announces the Factory Drivers engaged with the Huracán GT3 Evo in the most important championships dedicated to GT3 cars in 2022. Seven confirmed official drivers: Giacomo Altoè, Mirko Bortolotti, Andrea Caldarelli, Albert Costa, Marco Mapelli, Sandy Mitchell and Franck Perera .
Thanks to the seven titles won last year, Lamborghini reaches 42 championships won since 2015, also thanks to its official drivers.
Altoè won the Italian GT Championship 2018 and the International GT Open in 2019 paired with the Spanish Costa.
Caldarelli and Mapelli, winners of the GT World Challenge Europe 2019 triple crown, last season competed in the Endurance Cup of the European championship together with Bortolotti, champion of the Blancpain GT Series in 2017.
The squad is completed by the Scottish Mitchell, British GT 2020 champion, and the French Perera, a highly experienced driver and winner of the 2018 Daytona 24 Hours.

For six of them, the first engagement is the 24 Hours of Daytona (29-30 January), won for three consecutive editions by Lamborghini in the GTD class (2018, 2019 and 2020).
Bortolotti (seventh participation and winner in 2018 and 2019), Caldarelli (sixth participation and winner in 2020) and Mapelli (fifth participation and second in 2020) debut in the new GT Daytona Pro category with the US team TR3 Racing on the Huracán GT3 Evo # 63, the only Lamborghini in a class with 13 crews entered out of a total of 61 cars on the grid.
The three officers will be joined by the Swiss driver Rolf Ineichen, already twice winner of the race with Lamborghini in 2018 and 2019. The crew of the Huracán # 63 will start from pole position thanks to the victory obtained by Bortolotti and Caldarelli in the qualifying race held in Daytona on January 23.

Second experience in Daytona for Altoè, which strengthens the all-American crew of the Huracán deployed in the GTD class by TR3 Racing, the no. 19 entrusted to John Megrue, Jeff Segal and Bill Sweedler.
Debut for Mitchell on the Florida trio, to support veteran Corey Lewis (winner in 2020), Robert Megennis and Jeff Westphal in the Huracán # 39 of the CarBahn with Peregrine Racing team. In addition, the 24 Hours of Daytona 2022 marks the renewal of the agreement between Lamborghini and IMSA, the International Motor Sports Association, partner of the Sant’Agata Bolognese brand since 2013, the year of the debut of the North America Super Trofeo.
The partnership is renewed for a further five years, guaranteeing the flagship to run until 2026 in conjunction with the prestigious US championship.
