X | Twitter is often the scene of heated discussions between players. Not all of them very sensible to tell the truth, like the one that exploded over the weekend when a user published a questionable post in which he stated in unpleasant tones that Helldivers 2 is a superior game to Halo, while simultaneously disparaging Xbox players, who clearly didn't miss the opportunity to respond in kind. In short, the usual console warbut this time we saw a different conclusion than usual, thanks toapplause speech by Johan Pilestedt, the CEO of Arrowhead Games Studiowho tried to calm things down.
Pilestedt's post states that players should be free to enjoy both games without sparking unnecessary comparisons and that there should be “more unity and compassion and less rivalry“.
“Why compare them? Let players love and enjoy both, or one, or neither. We need more compassion and unity in the world and less rivalry.”
With a second message Pilestedt clarified that a little rivalry doesn't hurtbut as long as it is healthy and done in a calm tone, since “neither a monopoly nor competition makes the world a better place”.
Both posts were praised by players on both “sides”. Even from the author of the original post, who complimented the director… only to then fall into the same mistake again: “You're fantastic Piles, but Halo was still decimated by Helldivers”.
