The Helldivers 2 team promised a 60-day “recovery plan” for the shooter. Unfortunately he read the calendar wrong so it has now become 63 days.
Helldivers 2 is a “live service” game in continuous evolution and the authors are now working on a “recovery plan” – to improve the work and attract players again – lasting 60 days. Here, there is a problem: the team had read the calendar wrong and did not realize that the “deadline” falls on a Saturday , day in which no updates can arrive to avoid risking problems at the moment of peak use, so the plan is became for 63 days.
The information was shared via Twitter by creative director Johan Pilestedt and design director Niklas Malmborg.
Commentary from the authors of Helldivers 2
“So, 60 days. But we didn’t look at the calendar“admits Pilestedt. “What day is the 60th day?” asks Malmborg. “It’s a Saturday,” notes the director. “And we don’t patch on weekends, because we don’t want to interrupt the game while it’s being played.” As a result, Pilestedt says “we’ve decided to release the 60 day patch on day 63.” For those looking at the calendar, that’s Tuesday, October 15th.
Malmborg and Pilestedt offered some previews about what we will find in the 63rd day update. Most of the big changes planned for next week concern weapons, such as the scorcher, the recoilless rifle and the autocannon, now equipped with flak.
Obviously this is not the first proposed update for the shooter video game. We previously saw a Helldivers 2 patch that brought big balance changes and a Galactic War feature.
