May 9th brings with it a diverse climate outlook for southern Mexicowith variable conditions in the South Pacific and the Yucatán Peninsula.
In the South Pacific, partly cloudy skies are expected throughout the day. Chiapas could see isolated rain, while Oaxaca and Guerrero will remain dry.
The mornings in these regions will be cool to mild, accompanied by fog banks in the mountain areas.
As the day progresses, the temperature will rise, becoming very hot to extremely hot in the afternoon.
Southerly winds will blow between 10 and 25 km/h, with possible gusts of 60 to 80 km/h that could cause dust devils in the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, and up to 40 km/h in Guerrero and Chiapas.
In the Yucatan Peninsula, a partly cloudy sky is also forecast with the possibility of isolated rains.
The temperature will be mild to warm in the morning and will increase considerably during the afternoon, reaching levels of extreme heat.
The predominant winds will be from the east and southeast, oscillating between 10 and 25 km/h, but with gusts that could reach 40 to 60 km/h in Tabasco, Campeche, Yucatán and Quintana Roo.
These varied weather conditions call for caution, especially for those in areas prone to high temperatures and strong wind gusts.

– Maximum temperatures of 30 to 35 °C: Mexico City and Tlaxcala.
Rain forecast
– Intervals of showers (5 to 25 mm): Hidalgo, Puebla, Tlaxcala, State of Mexico and Mexico City.
– Isolated rains (0.1 to 5 mm): Querétaro, Morelos, Chiapas, Campeche, Yucatán and Quintana Roo.
Wind forecast
– Wind with gusts of 60 to 80 km/h and dust devils: Oaxaca (Isthmus of Tehuantepec).
