The norms concern public leisure facilities, water parks or spas, hotels, tourist accommodation, campsites, therapeutic facilities, and private facilities belonging to communities of owners and rural houses or similar.
The Ministry of Health updated the prevention and containment measures for Covid
applicable to swimming pools for public use and certain pools for private use while the health crisis lasts, without prejudice to its review based on epidemiological and health criteria. Specifically, it concerns public leisure pools, water parks or spas, hotel pools, tourist accommodation, camping or therapeutic in health centers, among others. As for those for private use, these measures must be complied with in swimming pools of
communities of owners, rural or agrotourism houses, colleges or similar.
These measures include the
Respect for respiratory etiquette as well as an interpersonal safety distance of at least 1.5 meters. Regarding the use of the mask, the obligation in outdoor spaces is eliminated, except when there are crowds and the minimum safety distance of 1.5 meters cannot be maintained, except for cohabitants, and
It is mandatory in any closed space for public use or that is open to the public.
General measures include ventilation, cleaning and disinfection of spaces and materials. As minimum,
all shared areas will be cleaned and ventilated twice a day. Hand washing will be promoted, with soap and water and hydroalcoholic gels, and pedal bins will be made available to dispose of tissues and protective and cleaning materials.
The shared use of mats, towels, clothes and lockers, among others, which will be sanitized after each use, will be avoided. The use of sources of water intended for human consumption shall be avoided. The maximum occupancy will be one person for spaces of up to four square meters, such as toilets, changing rooms, changing rooms, lactation rooms or similar, except in the case of people who may require assistance, in which case the use by their companion will be allowed.
It will be reported through posters, public address, signaling and marking of safety distances on the ground or similar. Faced with symptoms compatible with Covid-19, said person will be urged to adopt measures to avoid contagion, including abandoning the facilities, and will be informed of their obligation to contact health services.
Specific measures and capacity
The maximum capacity allowed will be conditional on compliance with the minimum interpersonal distance of 1.5 meters, except people with ties. Crowds will be avoided at the entrance and exit, which must be staggered and respecting the interpersonal safety distance.
Holders are advised to control the identification of the attendees. The grouping of people with ties will be facilitated, that is, people who live together or who maintain a pre-existing personal relationship, whether emotional, professional or social. In all cases, these groups must maintain a due safety distance from other people and groups.
The maximum occupancy allowed will be
75% of its usual capacity. The capacity of the pool glass will be established in each case so that the surface of 2.25 square meters per person is respected. Users must be informed by posters of the maximum number of people who can remain simultaneously in each glass. The use of sun loungers, hammocks, chairs or towels spread out on the floor will be allowed, which, when they belong to the establishment,
must be disinfected before use by each user.
The bathing areas, platform, toilets, changing rooms, showers and infirmary, among others, will be disinfected at least twice a day. Enclosed spaces should be ventilated before and at the end of the day. If the showers are collective,
one out of every two showers will be available to ensure that interpersonal distance is respected. Unless disinfection is possible after each use,
the lockers will remain disabled.
If there is recreational or sports equipment, such as floats, tables or the like, a thorough disinfection must be carried out. All personal items, such as towels, creams or toys, will remain with their owner, avoiding contact with other users.
