These are Pensavital 400 mg and Mabo-Farma 400 mg, dispensed in boxes of 20 tablets
Ibuprofen is one of the medications most consumed in Spanish homes, to combat the pain of a muscle injury, period pains or inflammation. Now, according to the latest alert from the Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products (AEMPS), we must check the first aid kits to know the batches we have. And on October 8, Health withdrew two brands for not passing quality controls.
The Spanish Agency issued an alert that day. The recalled products are Ibuprofen Pensavital 400 mg and Ibuprofen Mabo-Farma 400 mg, dispensed in boxes of 20 EFG film-coated tablets.
Specifically, the lots that have been withdrawn from sale to the public are the following: Ibuprofen Pensavital, manufactured by Farmalider SA, lot 464X, with an expiration date of 07/31/2026; and Ibuprofen Mabo-Farma, also produced by Farmalider SA, batch 468X, batch 469X and batch 470X, all with an expiration date of 07/31/2026.
It should be noted that its consumption “does not pose a vital risk to the patient”, according to the AEMPS. Even so, anyone who has any of these batches at home should take it to a pharmacy for removal.
