The respiratory syncytial virus affects thousands of people per year throughout the country. A communicable disease that could evolve into much more severe pathologies, such as pneumonia and respiratory failure, and which affects pediatric children but also adults and especially fragile ones. For this reason, new technologies developed such as the vaccine become fundamental to prevent hospitalizations in intensive care and deaths. In Italy, although the vaccine is useful for combating RSV, the vaccination calendar has not yet been updated.
