SAO PAULO (Reuters) – The Consumer Price Index (IPC) of São Paulo slowed the high to 1.0% in October after rising 1.13% in the previous month, with a drop in healthcare costs.
Data from the Institute of Economic Research Foundation (Fipe) released on Wednesday, show that the prices of the Health group retreated 0.84%, the only one to register deflation.
In the month, the greatest weight was exerted by the high of 0.93% in Housing. Also highlighted was the 1.96% advance in the prices of Personal Expenses, while Food rose 0.90% and Transport rose 1.48%.
The IPC-Fipe measures the four-week price variations for families in São Paulo with monthly income between 1 and 10 minimum wages.
